Therapist

The Therapist position provides counseling services to victims of abuse/trauma and their non-offending family members.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide individual, play, group and/or family therapy sessions

  • Conduct basic diagnostic evaluations

  • Provide crisis intervention to clients.

  • Provide court support to clients

  • Maintain proper documentation in CAC electronic health record/client files

  • Participate in weekly case review meetings

  • Provide on-going feedback to team regarding victim’s progress/emotional state

  • Participate in all supervision guidelines required by licensing Board.

  • Maintain all minimum professional liability insurance.

  • Maintain all ethical guideless by licensing Board and ACA regulations.   

  • Assist with general Center operations as needed

  • Participate in community and special events

 

Requirements:

  • LPC/LMFT/LCSW Associate or LMSW license will be considered

  • 2 years professional experience in services for children

  • Knowledge of child sexual/physical abuse dynamics strongly preferred

  • Play therapy experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of psychological assessment administration and interpretation
