In 2022, 67,558 children received services from one of the children’s advocacy centers across the state of Texas with over 65% victims of sexual abuse
1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday.
3 in 5 children never tell that they have been sexually abused.

Join Us At The Table In The Fight Against Child Abuse
A table functions as a regular meeting place for people for a given purpose and mission. Here at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Van Zandt County, everyone at the table are people who care about child victims of abuse and their non-offending family members/caregivers. Our table welcomes law enforcement officers, Child Protective Services (CPS) investigators, prosecutors, forensic interviewers, family advocates, therapists, community leaders and families of Van Zandt County. All of these individuals are united in one guiding goal – to win justice for the victims of child abuse and place them on a path toward healing.
Round table discussions are at the heart of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Van Zandt County (CACVZC) and the results are truly life changing. It is the mission of the Children's Advocacy Center of Van Zandt County to reduce trauma to child victims of physical and sexual abuse through a unified effort that facilitates thorough investigations, effective prosecution, and the healing of children and their families.
Van Zandt County is home to close to 63,000 individuals (July 2022 Census). There are 3,874 children under the age of 5 and 13,694 under the age of 18. Without your support, we could not provide services for child victims of sexual and physical abuse and neglect in our communities.
